Buongiorno Principessa - Dedicato A Piovani
The moments after a heartbreak feel a bit like leaving a building on a cold night.
Your face is a bit unreadable. The wind caressing your face feels melodramatic, but you appreciate the company considering how lonely and vulnerable you feel.
The music you hear--playing in your head--isn’t sad like people think. It’s ironically a bit optimistic. The violin notes are drawn out, but accompanied with short, quirky flute notes. If you intently listen long enough, you might even hear the accordion telling you to “cheer up. This is barely the beginning, much less the end.”
The music doesn’t ask you for much. So you just walk and listen. Walk for as long as you can until the music stops. And then you play it again because it’s the only song that gets you. Understands you. And weirdly enough, listens to you as much as you listen to it.
